Talipes Equinovarus Research Knowledgebase¶
A publicly auditable, evidence-based resource on the long-term complications of childhood clubfoot (talipes equinovarus) surgery and the full range of options for managing them. It is intended for adults who live with these complications, their advocates and families, and the clinicians who care for them.
Scope. This site covers the adult orthopedic aftermath of childhood posteromedial release / extensive soft-tissue surgeries performed in the 1970s–1990s — the mechanisms by which they lead to chronic wounds, deformity, gait change, and neuropathy; the diagnostic workup; wound and reconstructive care; rehabilitation; and how to identify appropriate specialist care. It is a research knowledgebase, not a personalized care plan. Individual clinical decisions belong with a qualified clinician who can evaluate your specific case.
